About this Event
The Next Era of Digitizing Public Infrastructure – Happening Now
We are entering the age of autonomy. Access to real-time data through intelligent infrastructure and processing of that data with AI and simulation will have the same pervasive and transformational impact on our society that electricity had 150 years ago. This next era of digitizing public infrastructure is one of the greatest opportunities of our time. It will result in more cost-effective services, meet our critical local and national challenges, and provide a platform for future local growth.
Real Time, Sustainable & Resilient
To achieve those goals, we need to build a real-time, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure that supports the entire city ecosystem. We need to meet the rapidly evolving supply chain, the changing expectations and demographics in the workforce.
Intelligent devices/sensors, IoT, hybrid cloud, data spaces, AI and Simulation will be key to this new infrastructure. We will gather greater insight into our surroundings through digital twins – maps updated in real-time – and act upon those insights instantly to make real-time decisions.
Data is the new Electricity
Data and insights generated by intelligent infrastructure will be shared among smart communities, partners, and participants for honing policy strategies and technical approaches. These strategic partnerships form the foundation of economic opportunities that flow from far-reaching investments in intelligent infrastructure: better, faster, cheaper operations and new opportunities for entrepreneurship and market leadership.
Intelligent Infrastructure – a $434B Market
Intelligent Infrastructure is at the heart of this transformation – a market expected to grow from $97 billion in 2021 to $434 billion by 2028. Intelligent Infrastructure covers many sectors – smart grid, smart water networks, intelligent transportation networks, intelligent buildings, and others will be deployed in shared environments to maximize asset utilization, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and flexibility. These integrated platforms will support critical services such as inclusive broadband, city services, energy, traffic management and multi-modal transportation.

Why now?
Over the course of the past two years, the government has made available $1.9 Trillion for infrastructure projects. We must seize on these trigger funds to regenerate US infrastructure to fulfill the promise of a sustainable, inclusive, cost-effective city.
Topio Networks – Bringing the Community Together
Now in its second year, the Intelligent Infrastructure conference to be held in Austin, Texas, brings together essential minds and players to strategize the drivers and benefits of digitizing our public Infrastructure. We will also spotlight real-life applications, illustrating the services that intelligent Infrastructure will support.
We will recognize diverse, breakthrough achievements with our Awards Evening on June 6th, the event’s Networking Reception, and the Women in Intelligent Infrastructure Networking Lunch on June 7th.
