About this Event
This program, conducted by students and faculty from Washburn University Law School's Intellectual Property and Technology Law Center, provides an overview of United States intellectual property laws pertinent to authors and artists—specifically, copyright protection. In the session, we will discuss acquisition of copyright protection, provisions to seek and avoid in copyright contracts, standards for infringement, fair use, and possible remedies for copyright violations. Join us for an informal discussion of the current state of the law and how the relevant legal standards may affect you. Be sure to bring questions!
$10.00 donation would be appreciated.
