During this workshop, students will discover how to use recycled Tetrapak cartons to create their own dry-point intaglio prints. We will cover all the steps necessary from preparation of the empty carton to the transfer of images, drawing, inking, and putting through the etching press.
On the way, students will explore various types of mark making, employing both line and tone to achieve dry- point etchings. Each participant will complete their own drypoint intaglio print and have their own print and etching plate to bring home.
In addition, we will discuss methods such as hand colouring and hand stitching prints.
