This is just one of the fun facts you will learn on the Insurance landmarks of the City walking tour and due to popular demand I am running a second event.
We will meet at the Monument at 3pm on Friday14th June where you will be taken on an exciting journey covering the key landmarks of the history of insurance charting the beginnings of the London insurance market as we know it, up to the present day.
We all know about Edward Lloyd's coffee shop, but who was Edward Lloyd and did he invent insurance? What happened before that? It's time to find out!
The tour is likely to take around an hour and we will finish at Lloyd's and stop for optional refreshments at the Moniker.
The even better news for those working in insurance is this event can be used to accrue CPD points!
