Insula Collective is hosting its first official event at GFC Fitness in Glendale! This self-empowering event, tailored to the needs of BIPOC friends and allies, is designed to equip you with essential self-defense skills while fostering collective healing and well-being.

• Guided meditation session led by Jem Remedy to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Snacks, drinks, and a book swap to continue the learning and self-care.

Insula Collective is a peer-led mental health initiative providing accessible mental health support groups, events, and resources for BIPOC and QTBIPOC individuals. 12:00 PM - 12:15 PM - Check-in and Welcome

- Attendees arrive, grab snacks/drinks, and settle in. - Brief introduction to the event, its purpose, and overview of the schedule.

- Start with a calming 20-minute guided meditation to center attendees and create a relaxed, focused atmosphere.

12:35 PM - 1:20 PM - Discussion on Collective Healing, Safety, and Advocacy

-Group discussion led by Insula Collective focused on healing, safety, and advocacy within BIPOC communities.

1:30 PM - 2:50 PM - Self-Defense Workshop with GFC Fitness

-Tailored self-defense techniques and strategies led by GFC Fitness. -Focus on practical applications, scenarios, and confidence-building exercises for attendees of all skill levels.

2:50 PM - 3:00 PM - Closing Remarks & Giveaways
