Take the first step to becoming an instructor! The new one-day Instructor Foundation Course (IFC) introduces a qualified diver to the essential elements of both theory and practical diving instruction.
In the classroom you will learn presentation techniques to successfully transfer theory knowledge to students. During in-water practical sessions, you will see in action the well-proven teaching method of demo-mimic: that is doing a perfect demonstration of skills, then asking students to mimic you.
Once you have attended an IFC you will be an Assistant Diving Instructor. You can then begin to teach diving in a club with the help of qualified instructors.
This event will be held at Hampton in Middlesex. Exact timings for this event will be shared with attendees in advance.
To enrol on the IFC you must have already successfully completed a BSAC Sport Diver course (or have equivalent certification from another recognised training agency). You must also be at least 16 years old.
