About this Event
The built environment sector is facing a longstanding skills shortage. By 2030, 41% of the current workforce is expected to retire, creating a significant skills gap at a time when housing and infrastructure projects are critical to meeting government targets. At the same time, women remain underrepresented in the industry.
On the back of our Skills Gap Whitepaper, which surveyed over 1,000 respondents in the industry and the general public, this lunch and learn will explore the industryβs challenges and opportunities. The findings from this paper, coupled with our speakers, will highlight perceptions of the sector that deter new talent, the importance of raising aspirations in schools and communities, and the actions that directors, senior leaders, and middle management can take to inspire the next generation of women in the Built Environment Sector.
