Flatbu$h Funktion was born on sacred ground—Flatbush, Brooklyn—where a Haitian gospel/funk pianist and a Swiss funk/hip-hop drummer crossed paths in a local deli and began a journey of sound and spirit.
Grounded in the soul of church music and the heartbeat of the diaspora, their sound fuses Haitian rhythms like Kompa and Rada with jazz-funk, reggae, hip-hop, and soul. Theirs is music with purpose—celebrating heritage, healing hearts, and lifting spirits.
Benjee (keys, vocals, production) channels his gospel roots with funk and fusion flavor. At the same time, Swiss Chris (Grammy Award-winning music director, Downbeat Award-winning drummer, and Emmy-nominated drummer) brings global experience, spiritual energy, and rhythmic precision.
Together, they blend Brooklyn grit with global groove—uplifting audiences from Instagram to international stages with a message of unity, joy, and deep cultural respect.
