About this Event
St. Thomas Aquinas, following Aristotle, teaches that friendship is to seek the good of the other. In this lecture, Fr. Bellusci draws from Pier Giorgio’s letters to show that Pier Giorgio’s friendships are built on the truth of the Catholic faith. Love is inseparable from sacrifice, not only in his letters but especially in how Pier Giorgio lived his friendships.
Fr. David Bellusci teaches philosophy and theology at Catholic Pacific College in Langley, British Columbia. He has given talks on Pier Giorgio Frassati in Canada and abroad based on his book, Pier Giorgio Frassati: Truth, Love, and Sacrifice. Fr. Bellusci is a Dominican priest living with his Dominican community in Vancouver.
Join Fr. David Bellusci for a thought-provoking lecture in our renowned Inspiration Unplugged series at St. Mary's University on Thursday, January 23.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please note that St. Mary's has implemented paid parking on campus. The fee for parking will be $7 for the evening.
