About this Event
Welcome to Insights into the Adolescent Reading Experience!
This event is an opportunity to share perspectives about young people’s engagement with books and reading.
Taking place in the Scrymgeour Building (University of Dundee), the morning will include presentations and discussion about recent research using participatory methods to gain insights from young people themselves.
This will be followed by a workshop about the "Story Decks" intervention designed to help adolescents identify the stories that interest them. This event is aimed at an audience of teachers, researchers, librarians and others curious about the adolescent reading experience.
This workshop has been organised by the SHSL Childhood and Youth Research Theme Priority lead, Lynne Duncan.
Childhood and Youth: Empowering and including young people in a context of social change.
This priority has strengths located in Psychology, Education, Social Work and Geography.
