As a meaningful work expert and researcher, I decided to explore this question for myself—hands-on—by doing the most fun jobs I could think of. From opera singing to ski instructing, photgraphy to stand-up comedy, my Fun Jobs Project has uncovered surprising and powerful insights about what makes work feel meaningful, joyful, and worthwhile. And the best part? These insights can be applied to any workplace.
In this highly interactive session, we’ll explore how fun, purpose, and meaning are connected, and why creating meaningful work for our teams is the most critical leadership challenge of the future. Through live science experiments, real-life stories, and a simple model for understanding meaningful work, you’ll leave with practical tips on how to lead with meaning and joy in your organization.
