This guided experience offers a closer look at the archives and studio spaces at Weavers Studio. The archive has been built over more than three decades through the global travels of founder Darshan Shah and includes over 1,500 books and more than 2,000 rare textiles from around the world. It serves as a living resource that supports research, revival work, and ongoing textile practice. Led by textile experts, the session introduces selected archival pieces through close viewing and conversation.Rather than a formal presentation, the visit encourages observation, questions, and discussion. Participants also visit the studio to see how archival knowledge continues to inform contemporary work. Light refreshments are served during the session, making the experience comfortable and unhurried. This tour is suited to those interested in textiles, history, and the role of archives in keeping craft knowledge active.
