Tatiana Glezer is visiting Bay Area in the beginning of February to meet with our local Jewish community and friends of Israel.A journalist and community builder, Sociologist (University of Manchester), Tatiana left Moscow just two weeks after the war in Ukraine began — a personal act of protest that led her to build a new life in Israel. There, she founded Pumpkin Latte, the largest Russian-speaking immigrant community in the country, now uniting over 100,000 people who left Russia and Belarus in protest, as well as refugees from Ukraine.
Her latest project, Fifty Global https://fifty.global/ – research group exploring journalistic standards and practices. The team’s first research delivered a large-scale media study published in The Telegraph and referenced by major think tanks, reaching a global audience of 500M+. The study revealed a troubling pattern: Israel was almost entirely absent as a cited source, while data from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health dominated global reporting.
At this event, Tatiana will share:
- Key findings from her team’s international media analysis;
- Insights from Hamas Telegram channels and how propaganda is structured;
- Reflections on Israel’s image in today’s information war.
