Bringing our innovative Inside/Out series to Visceral Dance Center for the first time!
Cerqua Rivera resident choreographer Shannon Alvis (Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Nederlands Dans Theater) and composer James Sanders share their new work THE SEA. From Shannon:
Tumbling through its dynamic waters, The Sea is a metaphor for the currents of infinite possibility that one must navigate in this journey of life... a journey from a past and toward a future, and with a most intimate internal compass as a guide.
Work in progress performed and discussed by members of our Dance Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra.

Inside/Out is our interactive event series that showcases works in progress and invites you INSIDE the creative process. Each event includes performance of new work-in-the-making, conversation with the artists, audience participation activities, and the opportunity for you to shape the new work with your feedback and input.
