In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to dive deeper into Movement Medicine. Working with one of the fundamental practices of Movement Medicine®, the MESA practice: Movement Energetics of Spatial Awareness.
We will play and explore the micro dance inside our bodies, how we fill our personal space, the invisible bubble around us; and the communication of who we are with those around us and our environment. From here, we will dance our awareness into how this connects with the bigger picture - a beautiful practice!
We will explore through movement, music and writing and use solo, partner, and group work to traverse these landscapes and the art of connection.
Movement Medicine is a creative, self-expressive, embodied meditative practice to connect your body, heart, mind and spirit.
Movement Medicine helps us reconnect to our bodies and hearts again by engaging the body in movement to bring our awareness back inside and trust the movement that comes. Through this process of embodiment, we can engage all of our power through the integrated intelligence of the body, heart, and mind.
Movement Medicine is a process of learning to trust yourself and your body again, to trust that there is a dancer, a mover, a creator inside you that knows what to do, to express how you feel, and to make sense of your experiences. To express the true essence of who you are.
