Join Allen Miller at Cool Spring Preserve for an evening of exploring the world of insects and spiders. This is a free/donation-based program. All ages are welcome, though youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and limited to 15 participants.
This program will include interesting facts, a group activity about the role of spiders in nature, and a short presentation on some of West Virginia’s common species. Afterward, we’ll head outside with flashlights to look for spiders and insects around the preserve.
Participants will learn what makes an insect an insect, as well as some basics about life cycles and habitats. It’s a chance to share observations, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of these often-overlooked creatures.
