The Earth was created in six days, by word of God. Or so they say…then, what if no language were conceived and that God had no words to utter? Would then be no world to suffer the plight of humankind? Or is this just a scheme to test the extent of the innovative mindless destructive impulse we call intelligence?
iNsCissorS return with their 5th full length album “The Wordless God II (And Other Cinematic Rituals)”. This time Vincent Andelmoth’s cinematic ambient approach is alchemically merged with ethnic and ritual elements to create the core sonic output of this endeavor where the ever stunning and imposing presence of Aima Lichtblau with her unique chants, choirs and lamentations form the ceremonial rites to invoke “The Wordless God”…a god who relies on a combination of sounds it cannot utter or comprehend in order to create a vast terrain of woe over bleached bones of discarded dreams never dreamt.
John Santerineross with his unique and characteristic neo/black symbolistic visions has once again given shape to the album’s artwork which has been then adapted to the concept by Vincent Andelmoth.
Invoked apparitions appearing as special guests to The Wordless God II and complete the ceremony , respectfully are : Angel Wolf Black (Vocals/Choirs), Evor Ameisie (Vocals/Chants) and Andreas Ntroulias (Additional Guitars). Last but not least, Peter Bjärgö has taken care of the album's mastering to then be unleashed to the world on August the 28th of 2024 under the wings of F.Y.C. Records in digital format and 6-panel DigiCD limited to 200 copies with handnumbered OBI strip, 8-page booklet and stickers, where the first 15 copies come as a Limited Edition in a sackcloth bag with a handmade crochet Baphomet, OBI strip, stickers and certificate of Authenticity.
Immerse yourself in this, be part of the Ritual.

"[...] And so, their music slowly and methodically reveals all its ingredients. Sometimes the darkness is thick, sometimes the atonement leaves you in awe, and other times their music sounds bigger than its initial seeding…and this not only requires talent to achieve but also a deep understanding (and knowledge) of the rules of music itself. I would describe this album as monstrous, pagan, and exquisite, all rolled into one [...]"

"[...] A great score can encapsulate you and persuade you to feel a certain way. This much can also be said about iNsCissorS forthcoming studio album, “The Wordless God II (And Other Cinematic Rituals)”. [...] With what Vincent Andelmoth describes as ethnic and ritual elements, and the ever impressive chants of vocalist Aima Lichtblau, iNsCissorS brings “The Wordless God II” to life! Even without a cinematic companion to accompany this album, the music alone inspires the imagination to create the imagery set forth by song. I can envision what an exciting conversation piece this would be, as we all have a different idea of how to conceptualize this tale.
So I encourage you, pre-order the cinematic experience called “The Wordless God II (And Other Cinematic Rituals)” and be delivered into an ineffable world beyond your mind's eye! — E.N. Wells"

"[...]From the shadowy experimentation of Throbbing Gristle to the warmth of ethnic moments of Dead Can Dance, through the ritualistic path of Cold Meat Industry, we have here a charming spectrum of influences that gives birth to this small masterpiece of cinematic dark ambient with ethnic overtones.
It will be on my nightly playlist for a long time, hopefully on yours too."
(Review by C.Papadakis / www.goldenrules.gr)
"[...]Every piece feels like it's taken from a mystical fairy tale somewhere in the depths of cursed Japan, where something bad has happened. Like a soul struggling to shout, to claim. I have this feeling of music and body pulsing together to come out of the ground. this crawling of the female figure, over beds drowsily and children's dolls gazing meaningfully.
It really gives you so many images, that somewhere inside you are looking to find which soundtrack it is taken from or which film production it belongs to."
(Review by Jo Gogou / www.afternoiz.gr)
"[...]The persuasive melodies of the intense "The Doll Maker" put an end to a highly suggestive work with an inebriating evocative charm, dark and spectral in some of its moments, but always crossed by a sumptuous effectiveness in arranging the selected sound elements by its composer, magnificently accompanied by a bold voice that always knows how to give that extra touch to a communicative sound, for a symbiosis that is also spiritual, as well as artistic. An excellent return, in every aspect."
