Studies show that Middle School students are often at risk for losing interest in science, and indeed science scores for U.S. students in both Grade 4 and Grade 8 are on the decline. But by infusing more inquiry-based science and hands-on learning, we can boost students’ intellectual curiosity and make Middle School the time students fall in love with science.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

• Full refunds will be given if requested more than 7 days before the start date of the event.
• Partial refunds (50% tuition) will be given if requested 7 days or less of the start date of the event.
• EventBrite fees are nonrefundable.
• Inclement weather policy: If the Grand Rapids Public School (GRPS) district is closed due to inclement weather, Van Andel Institute for Education will be closed.
