INPS Central Chapter Group Hike: Starkey Nature Park, Zionsville
Time: 9 am – 11 am (?)
Location: 667 Sugarbush Dr Zionsville, IN 46077
Please join fellow INPS Central Chapter members for an informal, self-led group hike at Starkey Nature Park in Zionsville! We will share our knowledge with one another as we explore this hidden gem on Eagle Creek hidden in Zionsville. This 80-acre park located a quarter mile SW of the Village contains a surprising amount of suburban biodiversity. Eagle Creek is slow moving in most locations and there are plenty of access areas to wade or fish in the shallow creek. Bring the family/friends to explore the creek or quaint Downtown Zionsville after our hike. The trails run along Eagle Creek with kid/dog-friendly terrain that is easy/moderate, uneven, unpaved, and mostly shaded. There are steep stairs descending from the parking area to Eagle Creek. Parking is gravel and there is one portable restroom. We plan to leisurely follow the trail along the creek for about 3 miles then circle back to the parking area.
Free entrance/parking and no registration required. Advance registration appreciated, but not required. Come if you can, leave when you want. This is self guided and for socializing with other members. No RSVP required or Regrets needed, if unable to attend.
