Join us for InnocaS.E 3.0, a one-day case study competition to solve real-world challenges and compete for prizes worth $1,700!
About this Event

This is an in-person event for Sheridan students & alumni. Lunch will be provided for all participants and attendees.

InnocaS.E case study competition is your chance to showcase entrepreneurial skills and creative thinking. You’ll choose from multiple case studies, collaborate with peers, and pitch your solutions—all in one day. This challenge brings Sheridan students and alumni together to tackle real-world problems through innovation and bold ideas. Compete head-to-head with other changemakers for exciting prizes and get confidence in presenting solutions that make an impact. Participants will also learn about Intellectual Property through a dedicated opening session designed to help protect and strengthen their ideas and be inspired by watching peers ideate and pitch throughout the day.

Why should you participate?

  • You will test your creativity and get experience tackling real-world challenges under high-pressure, fast-paced conditions.
  • You will compete for prizes—1st place $800, 2nd place $550, 3rd place $350. Plus, every participant gets a chance to win exciting gift cards!
  • You will strengthen problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • You will connect with peers, alumni, and industry professionals.

What to expect:

  • Opening session: Learn key Intellectual Property (IP) concepts and how it shapes innovation with experts from The Centre for Commercialization (C4C).
  • Fuel your ideas: Enjoy complimentary lunch and refreshments to keep you energized throughout the competition.
  • Case study challenge: All participants will receive multiple case studies to choose from and work on their solutions during the event.
  • Present your ideas: Teams will present their solutions, with top submissions shortlisted for the next stage of the competition.
  • Final pitch: Selected teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and receive expert feedback.
  • Expert Judges: Evaluated by experienced industry professionals with proven entrepreneurship and innovation experience.
  • Winner announcement: Winners will be announced at the end of the day and awarded prizes valued at $1700.
