As tattoos are a collaboration between an artist and a client, this exhibition teams the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery with Topeka artists to tell the past, present and future of tattooing.We have worked with Topeka tattoo shops and artists including Olympus Ink, Looking Glass Tattoo and Matryoshka Tattoo to share the art and knowledge of tattoo artists working today. The exhibit also includes art on loan from the Bert Grimm Tattoo Museum in Kansas City.
Tattoos are unique and personal connections to art that preserve memories and express personality.
