Families, come along to this creative workshop to discover histories of radical pedagogy and children and young people’s activism!
About this Event

Please note: this event will be held in person at the Centre for Contemporary Arts Glasgow.

In this creative family workshop we will delve into histories of radical pedagogy and children and young people’s activism!
We will explore archive materials from radical youth movements, including Glasgow’s Socialist Sunday School tradition, and make our own zines too. These might explore personal histories of activism, document recent protests or share practical resources.
This workshop is suitable for people of all ages! It is a family workshop for children, young people and adults together. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and adults must be accompanied by a child. Please make sure you book a ticket for everyone in your group. Babies don’t need a ticket.

About Red Sunday School:

Red Sunday School is a space for children and young people to think for themselves, play with freedom, question the world around them, and change it. Organised on the principles of socialism and solidarity, the School provides tools and resources for the creative exploration of nature, culture and society from a radical perspective, and encourages active participation in the great struggles of our day: anti-racism, the climate crisis, feminism, and the revolutionary transformation of capitalism. Red Sunday School sets out to be an antidote to current mainstream education focused on producing workers ready to compete in the marketplace, regardless of the mental and physical costs to young people. We run monthly sessions for children and young people in Glasgow.
