Halifax Camerata Singers' first concert of the 2024-2025 season features daring acts and bold aspirations -- music that will make you hold your breath! Works by composers Eric Whitacre and Hugo Wolf will be presented, as will "That's One Small Step" about the 1969 moon landing by Canadian composer Tawnie Olson. Additional composers include Marie-Claire Saindon and Joel Thompson, and Camerata will perform a newly commissioned work by past composer-in-residence Benjamin Sigerson with text by Halifax Poet Laureate Anna Quon. Featured in this concert will be local percussionist Trevor Brandenburg and a guest string quartet from the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra.
