About this Event
Interested in a career in advanced manufacturing? Join Prototype PGH at Industrial Arts Workshop for an Info Session for Step On Up, our new Maker to Manufacturer program. We will have food and childcare available during the info session.
Step On Up is a new program, launching in March 2025, with support from the Block Center at Carnegie Mellon University and the Build Back Better initiative to support women, people with marginalized gender identities, and low-income communities to gain makerspace and manufacturing training. Selected program participants will receive a cash stipend for each workshop they attend, plus onsite food and childcare throughout the duration of the 6-month program.
The free program provides participants with makerspace training at Prototype PGH followed by manufacturing training at Manufacturing Futures Institute in Hazelwood. The program culminates in a Career Fair with local manufacturing companies at Mill 19 in Hazelwood.
