About this event
Join us for an insightful public speech by Professor Alan Taylor, Bank of England’s MPC Member. The University of Leeds Business School, in collaboration with the Accounting and Finance Department, is inviting you to an exclusive public event featuring Professor Alan Taylor, an External Member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
In his first speech as an MPC member, Professor Alan Taylor will describe how he sees the economy and the outlook for inflation. He will discuss new work that sheds light on inflation dynamics following shocks and he will draw some lessons from the historical experience on the role of the institutional framework for monetary policy.
This is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the forces shaping today’s economy directly from one of the UK's foremost economic thinkers.
