INFINITE MONKEYS & AMOENUS present INFINITE MONKEYS!

The Infinite Monkeys return to The Bath House with a communal workshop for improvised sound and video art, open to the general public.

In collaboration with Amoenus, the Infinite Monkeys collective will host an inclusive and welcoming space centred on collective experimentation and live audiovisual improvisation. The Amoenus Ambisonic Soundsystem will once again be an essential part of the setup.

OPEN CALL TO LOCAL MUSICIANS

This event is an open call to local musicians, sound explorers, video artists, and curious humans to join the Infinite Monkeys collective. We welcome participants of all levels to create an accessible space for community participation, shared learning, and open creative exchange in experimental sound and audiovisual practice.

This will be a BYOS (Bring Your Own Synthesiser) event, including synths, drum machines, modular setups, laptops, pedals, standard instruments, and/or any DIY musical instrument.

15:00 – Arrival and setup: chill, connect, test sounds

17:30 – Intro and discussion: Introduction to the Infinite Monkeys, and “game” guidelines.

18:00 – 22:30 – Communal improvisation

Entry is free. Donations are welcome to support the technical equipment, soundsystem, and the banana economy.

The INFINITE MONKEYS COLLECTIVE is a London-based collective with an ever-growing number of heterogeneous members, self-proclaimed as Monkeys (currently around 40).

The collective operates (though not exclusively) as an audiovisual project, combining video art projections with live improvised music.

Please don’t expect any art or great performance from the Monkeys.

The Monkeys are not musicians.

The Monkeys are not artistic agents.

The Monkeys are just Monkeys.

Infinite Monkeys are available for adoption. Please adopt a Monkey and bring one to your home after the show. Feel free to feed the Monkeys during the show. They will be very grateful to receive a banana or even a ginger tea.
