"Inebria Me" is an experimental opera rooted in queer, cross-border identity and performed through a vibrant fusion of musical and visual traditions. The story follows Dolores, a woman trapped in an abusive marriage who is empowered by Esperanza, a genderless being of light, to reclaim her worth. Drawing from San Cha’s diverse influences — rural Mexican immigrant life, Catholic choir, Bay Area drag, and cross-border experiences — the piece blends ranchera, cumbia, mariachi, punk, and electro with innovative lighting and visuals."Inebria Me" is performed in Spanish. Printed librettos in English will be available.
