Greetings Wyrdos, tis I, English Ivan, though I am of course neither English, nor named Ivan. As the undisputed Hero of Malifaux this past year it has been my distinct pleasure and privilege to keep the tendrils of intrigue from pulling into shadow any citizens of Malifaux who lack the umbral means to do so themselves. And yet, I could set my pocket watch by how quickly the impertinent mutterings arise from those who think they could do better. How very ungentlemanly of you.
In answer to these challenges I have decided to see who among you could best all others by participating in a series of jobs my crew and I would normally consider our department. If you are cunning and valiant enough to not only survive, but best your rivals in completing these tasks, I shall tip my hat to you. If not? Well, scoundrels do have a habit of being lost in the dark.
Choose your conveyance and see who will claim their place as the people's champion, the Hero of Malifaux!
This tournament will be a bit different. you will declare a master for the entire event. You are locked into this master for all 3 rounds but may switch between titles. No additional masters may be hired in, we're looking for a Hero, not a Dynamic Duo.
Dead Man's Hand will be allowed, so if you want to rep Lilith, Niocdem, Collodi, or Ramos, feel free. However, last year's Hero (Ivan in this case) is not eligible.
If you intend to play, please respond to this thread with which master you intend to play. Each master may only be declared by one player, no repeats, so have a backup or act fast!
Finally, the pools will be a sampling of Strats and Schemes from GG ALL to mix things up. Details below:
Where: Hero's Emporium
When: Saturday July 13th, 2024
Registration: 11:00-11:30am
Round 1: 11:30am – 1:45pm
Meal Break: 1:45pm - 2:15pm
Round 2: 2:15pm – 4:30pm
Round 3: 4:30pm-6:45pm
Game Format: 50 Soulstones, Fixed Faction, DMH, Single Master (Locked)
Player packets will be available during registration. Player packets will include scoring sheets outlining the Strategy & Schemes for each round. Players will mark their chosen Schemes and relevant choices for said Schemes on the sheet. Games will go until end of turn 5 or the end of time, whichever comes first.
This event has 16 slots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place
There will also be prize drawings for everyone else!
1st Place also wins the title of Hero of Malifaux for the Master they fielded for the next year. The Indy Wyrdos social media and Discord will reflect this in its titles and profile pictures, and the new Master will be added to the Hero's trophy. Instead of the customary Spoon, the lowest ranking Master will be recognized as the Villain of Malifaux for the next year.
There will be a $10.00 entry fee to cover pizza, trophies, and other prize support.
