About this Event
The sessions are open to all members of Aston University academic and post-doctoral research staff; early career researchers are very welcome to attend.
As a supporter of the Industry and Parliament Trust, Aston University is provided several training sessions per year on understanding how the UK parliamentary system works and where academic research can be involved in policy discussions. Training is provided by Huw Edwards, a former MP who is now a trainer in communicating and interacting with policymakers (https://huwedwardstraining.com/).

Sessions take place online via Zoom, between 14:00 and 16:00, and are limited to 20 participants per session.
Please email James Crawford ([email protected]) providing one sentence on the key learning that you would like to take away from the session. This will be provided to the trainer to help tailor the examples he will use during the session.
Bookings are on the first-come-first-served basis, and a reserve list will be in operation; if it is no longer possible to attend, please inform Larry Atwood so that someone else can attend.
