#Course #Objectives:
Updating and enhancement of practical knowledge and skill of WTP personnel involved in operation-maintenance & production quality control and those are involved in water quality maintenance of boiler and cooling systems.
#Course #Outline:
#Module 1: Water Treatment Plant:
Introduction to practical status of industrial water problems: Role of water in industries and importance of purification prior to use.
General quality characteristics of natural water: The major and diff. correlative parameters of water impurities in industrial consideration essential for operational control and trouble shooting of WTP and that of for boiler and cooling water quality maintenance.
Design fundamentals: Right process selection, process design, size determination of major equipment & auxiliaries.
Modern techniques of water purification: Operational control of diff. units of WTP viz. Clarifier, Media Filter, BEP Softener and Deminralizer (Cation /Anion/Mixed Bed Exchanger).
Desalination (Demineralization) of water by Reverse Osmosis process: Operation-maintenance techniques of RO plant.
#Module 2: Boiler & Cooling Water Conditioning:
Boiler and Cooling systems: Scale deposition and Corrosion.
Protective measure for the problems: Chemical conditioning and water quality maintenance following specification.
Boiler preservation and methods: Mandatory measure to protect corrosion.
Chemical cleaning of boiler and methods of application.
#Nature of the #Class:
Classes may involve lectures, small group exercises, case analyses and discussions and multimedia presentations. Participants are expected to take part and contribute to discussions, and keep up with current issues in their respective areas, exchange of views and ideas with other organizations through rapport and inter-actions, encourage with success stories.
