A workshop to learn more about lighting, portrait and low light indoors photography and video
About this Event

Our third workshop will be a more in depth exploration of indoors photography and video. We will go over the basics we learn during our first workshop on using your camera in manual mode: aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc. And we will add creative uses of lighting. You don't always need expensive lights to create depth or illuminate your subjects. Sometimes a desk lamp can do the trick, if you position it well! We will also go back to what we learnt in our previous session about composition, especially but not limited to portraits.

Do you want to learn how to work in low light and reduce your ISO noise? Want to improve your yellow-ish photos taken in your living room? We'll talk about white balance again.

This workshop is opened to beginners and more advanced photographers. We want to make photography and video-making more accessible and help folks grasp the more "techy" aspects of photography and video with our hands-on workshops. Youtube tutorials and books are helpful but having someone guiding you and being able to ask question is something we often lack when we start. We hope we can provide that for you.

This workshop will happen at the ESHC where we'll have a range of light and settings available and space to more around. The ESHC is wheelchair accessible, but let us know if you have any access requirements and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

We're running two sessions of this workshop in March, one on the 3rd and the other one on the 24th.

Can't wait to see you!
