Hobbit 4s (women’s height net with 15 ft back row attack line) ALL Female Hobbits and Giants are welcome and may attack and block front row 😈
Male Hobbits
* Height: MUST BE 6' or under (measurements enforced) and may attack and block from any position.
* Up to 2 Male Giants per team are permitted(6' 1" and above)
* If you choose to have a male giant on the team, they may NOT BLOCK at the net or ATTACK front row. If your giant wishes to attack, they may attack from 15 ft. line (will be taped). These players will usually set (and not block front row) or play in the middle back position.
Format: Pool play will be followed by a single elimination tournament.
Divisions:
*Upper and Lower split (by record)
* Must have 12 teams to split into upper and lower divisions
Upper Prize
1st Place: Gift Cards and Champ Shirts!
Lower Prize
1st Place: Champ Shirts!
MOST INDOOR RULES APPLY. Some exceptions and emphasis include:
* You may NOT open hand tip.
* You MAY redirect the ball with TWO HANDS on an over-pass or to complete a blocking action.
* You may NOT set the ball over UNLESS you are squared to your target from start to finish (you may not push the ball over while you are turning).
* You may NOT pursue a ball on another court if they are actively in a rally.
* EMPHASIS on allowing players to contact the ball more than once with any part of the body in a single attempt on a team's SECOND CONTACT when the ball is played to a teammate (reference to the new NCAA volleyball rule).
* If you cross the centerline, a player from the opposing team MUST NOT be near or a part of the active play to ensure safety.
