Indoor Lead Climbing Courses at the riverside centre of TCA The Arc, Chippenham.These courses are held on the second Thursday and Friday of the month and is perfect for those climbers looking to progress their roped climbing skills and step into the exciting world of lead climbing under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
The skills covered in this course syllabus include the following;
- Safe and efficient Clipping
- Lead Belaying
- Lead falls and holding a lead fall
- Climbing tactics including redpointing.
Recommended Prerequisites
Ideally all participants will be climbing at F6a standard and must be fully proficient at all top rope climbing skills (belaying and tying in).
The course is 6 hours, split over 2 sessions and attendance to all sessions is required for the completion of the course. The price includes all safety equipment and instruction.
Due to the advanced nature of the course, the maximum group size is limited to two candidates.
