About this Event
The Container Recycling Institute reports that, on average, each American discards approximately 425 beverage containers annually. Some of these bottles and cans never reach a landfill, incinerator, or recycling center; instead, they litter parks, sidewalks, and waterways. On April 17 at 5:30 PM, discover how to repurpose a discarded two-liter soda bottle into a thriving indoor herb garden using a simple hydroponic method. With just a special type of yarn, soil, and your choice of herb, you can create a sustainable, self-watering planter. This interactive session will introduce key environmental sustainability concepts while providing your family with a fresh, homegrown garnish to elevate your favorite dishes.
This workshop is for the whole family, so please join us. Pop bottles are NOT included.
