About this Event
Pusaka Sunda is a Bay Area gamelan degung ensemble that has been performing traditional and contemporary music from West Java, Indonesia, for over 30 years. The group just released their latest album Ningnang, recorded in the summer of 2021, and they are excited to perform live for the first time in two years.
Join us to hear the distinctive rhythms and melodies of Sundanese gamelan and the masterful improvisations of Burhan Sukarma on the suling flute.
In honor of the High School Art Show currently on display at the Drawing Room, this concert will feature high school junior Malaya Redding Lapuz singing duets with her mother, singer Danni Redding Lapuz.
