This open group cooking workshop is for the English-speaking lovers of Indonesian cuisine!Open group means that you can sign up for this Indonesian cooking workshop as an individual or as a couple. The groups remain small, max 12 people, so that there is enough space for personal guidance and asking questions. Please see below for all info.
Menu
I compose the Indonesian menu based on your dietary preferences and allergies. Expect well-known and lesser-known dishes from Bali, Java, Lombok, Sumatra and Sulawesi.
Program
Upon arrival you take a seat at the bar, have a beverage of your choice, and eat prawn crackers with my homemade sambals ?. In the meantime, I introduce myself and briefly tell you about my Indonesian roots. Then I explain the Indonesian ingredients that we are going to use, such as kencur and kemangi, and we start making the bumbu's (Indonesian spice pastes) and dishes. Afterwards, you'll enjoy a nice dinner and conversations with like-minded people. I share the recipes and locations where I buy the ingredients as well.
Location
I use lunch restaurant Gallery 3, Bilderdijkstraat 175h in Amsterdam as the location for my Indonesian open group cooking workshops. Expect a cozy and relaxed restaurant setting.
Group size
The group size for this open group cooking workshop is maximum 12 people.
Price
Price per person is 65 euro including non-alcoholic drinks and of course dinner. Drinking beer or wine is also possible but is not included in the aforementioned price.
