When thinking about the Recovery Process it is more than just our micro interactions with clients. The process of recovery planning is informed by both the individual practitioners who are working with clients in their day-to-day practice, but also the preparedness of the organization to support client recovery. This workshop will focus on leaning into the different levels of Recovery from the planning to implementation stages and the importance of both individual practitioner and agency level policy, procedures and services to support their client’s recovery journey.

Learning Objectives

1. Participants will learn the components of Recovery Planning including additional challenges that may arise to impact their client’s recovery journey.
2. Participants will learn how to assess their own preparedness as it relates that their day-to-day contact with clients during their recovery journey.
3. Participants will learn how to assess policy, procedures, and services available at an organizational level that support or can hinder the recovery process of clients in their care and advocate for change.
