“Divine Blue is a meditation on indigo—its depth, stillness, and power to connect. Once called ‘the color of heaven,’ indigo embodies both spiritual resonance and the slow rhythm of care. This lecture will introduce indigo as one of the world’s oldest dyes, exploring its symbolism, global histories, and artistic and social significance. I will also share insights from my collaborative projects with women and children in India, featuring hand-dyed Shibori textiles that move with air.
