Indigo: A Holiday “Dip-In”

Join us for a one-day open studio-style workshop where the indigo vats are prepped and ready, and all you need to do is dip! Whether you’re finishing up handmade gifts or looking to experiment with this magical blue dye, this “Holiday Dip-In” is the perfect creative outlet.

Led by experienced textile artist Sylvia De Mar, this relaxed, single-day session is ideal for those with small projects ready to go or anyone curious about the art of indigo dyeing.

You're invited to bring up to 8 items to dye—such as:

• Pillowcases
• Scarves
• Quilting squares
• Yarn
• Cotton t-shirts or towels
• Silk or natural-fiber fabrics

Prep tables will be available with resists (clips, rubber bands, etc.) so you can experiment with simple shibori patterns and more.

Note: A limited selection of fabric will be available for purchase on-site.

• Ready-to-go indigo vats
• Space to prep and resist materials
• Guidance on basic indigo techniques and dyeing safety
• Friendly, festive atmosphere

No prior dyeing experience is required—just curiosity and a few items to dip!
