Indigenous Voices is part of our annual Voices of The Americas series that brings together talented local songwriters to share their stories, songs, and music tied to their identities and experiences in our country's. We are excited to have IndigeNash partner with us for our event this year, and we hope you will help us fill the Darkhorse Theater with love and encouragement for these talented young performers.This year's artists include:
Calico Ducheneaux, Woi'ci'lle (Looks for Herself Woman) who's is Lakota from the Cheyenne River Sioux in South Dakota. @calicosings.
Katelyn Myers, a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. @katybugsings
Emily Justin, a native of Tennessee who hones into her Indigenous roots through her music. @itsemilyjustin
And the amazing Trenton Wheeler, who curated this concert for us. Trenton is of Amskapi Piikani (Blackfeet) heritage and founder of IndigeNash, Nashville's first Native-led arts festival.
