About this Event

Ujima Spirit Temple, Lakou Especial created a special group to connect different indigenous women who are biologically born female & heterosexual. We build with women of color who are actively practicing their spirituality & culture who want to be part of this collective sisterhood. They are ready to connect with like- minded sisters to do the collective work needed for ascension.

We have our own unique cultures, traditions, & customs that we want to practice. Also, we have a different history that included exposure to chattel slavery, oppression, exploitation, intergenerational trauma, racism, sexism, classism, victimization, & chronic stress. We intentionally carved our own sacred space to address these past historical problems, current survival concerns, and potential future threats; as well as acknowledge and celebrate our love, resiliency, courage, strength, victories, joy, & success. We want to be free to express our authentic selves without any distraction, disturbance, judgment, criticism, or intimidation.

Our primary goal is achieving healing: the complete restoration of a healthy state of mind, body, & soul using different spiritual tools. Focus will be placed on conscious awareness & self-discovery; self-love & respect; self-mastery & discipline; self-sabotage & self-destruction; self-forgiveness & self-acceptance, and self-empowerment & liberation. We will use different spiritual practices & resources in our sessions.

This sisterhood will be grounded in divine love, respect, reciprocity, and support. We will achieve peace, unity, harmony, & understanding working together as a collective. There will be lots of talking, expressing, sharing, relating, and building. We're going to address the hidden shadows that create competition, confusion, insecurity, division,disruption, hatred, jealousy, & fear between women. The objective is to reveal the source of these symptoms in order to effectively manage or eliminate them.

We want to help each other overcome personal issues, conflicts, & challenges that limit or hinder our spiritual growth; utilize the knowledge, talent, skill, & ability we possess to enrich each other’s lives; work together to create new spiritual services, resources, educational programs, & opportunities for the advancement of our families & communities using our indigenous spirituality; enhance our spiritual abilities and expand our consciousness in order to make healthier & better choices; help overcome the isolation & loneliness we can face as spiritual workers, and learn from each other the various spiritual teaching & principles from different belief systems.

Finally, we look forward to engaging in different programs for our enrichment in the following areas: spiritual enlightenment; personal growth; healthy relationship; creative expression; educational achievement; physical fitness & wellness; recreational fun and adventures.
