About this Event
Engage with pre-colonial Indigenous histories in understanding the natural creeks and park systems in the Bathurst and Lawrence area. Explore the contrast between Canada's first largest shopping district, a church from the War of 1812, and the indigenous plants and trees along the way.
Start Location: Bedford Park Community Centre (81 Ranleigh Avenue)
Our staff and volunteers will be at the tour's starting location 30 minutes prior to each tour. Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the tour to allow time for check in.
End Location: Barbara Frum Library (20 Covington Road)
Length of Tour: Between 90 minutes and 2 hours
Distance and Terrain: This tour is approximately 2.9 kilometres in distance, a bit longer in distance than our usual routes, and is relatively flat. There are some unpaved portions of the route that take place in parks and gardens.
Registration is required for all tours. Please note: you will not be able to join a tour group if you have not registered ahead of time.
This tour uses individual audio headsets. All registered participants will be provided with an individual headset that will allow you to hear the tour guide throughout the tour.
