Join us for an Indigenous Cedar Salve Workshop with medicine maker Tanya Gluvakov, founder and owner of Roots and Raven. In this workshop, explore the significance of cedar salve from an Indigenous perspective: beneficial in grounding, providing moisture, and healing the skin; and, work together as a community to craft a cedar salve to take home.Tanya is a mixed Mohawk woman with roots and family ties to the Six Nations of the Grand River community. Her interest in sharing the positive effects of connecting to the land, on both our mental and physical well-being, drives her teaching philosophies as well as her business Roots and Raven. Tanya is passionate and dedicated in sharing knowledge about processes of growing, foraging, harvesting, and connecting community to the land.
