The Overflow Indie Series is a community driven platform supporting emerging artists from the Great Ottawa Area. This weekly event held at the Brewery, is a local hub for diverse musical talents. Free admission fosters community involvement and provides a welcoming space for artists and all guests. Our goal at Overflow is to spotlight Ottawa's talent, boost their exposure and create a vibrant community of Live Music that we can all be very proud of!
Featured Artists this week: This week is a very special Indie Thursday where Overflow will be presenting the Girls Gone Country. This week we have a Singer Songwriter circle where the crowd will be entertained by the Stories and Songs of Tanaeya, Nayana and Vicky Brittle.
About Tanaeya
Tanaeya, a talented songwriter from Halifax, NS, is making waves in Ottawa, ON. With a recent performance at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe and over 200 original songs written in a year, she's quickly becoming a standout in the music scene.
Nashville transformed Tanaeya, shaping her sound into a fusion of country, pop, and R&B. Her honest, relatable lyrics draw listeners in, showcasing her unique perspective and storytelling ability. Teaming up with Nashville-based producer Jesse Savio, Tanaeya is set to release her debut single followed by an EP. With anticipation building on both sides of the border, she's poised for a rapid ascent in the music industry.

About Nayana
Nayana is an up-and-coming country-pop singer-songwriter from Ontario who has been making waves in the music industry. With accolades like winning the One Artist Ontario competition and having her latest single "Bought Me A Drink" played on radio and Sirius XM, she's definitely on the rise. Returning from Nashville, the heart of country music, Nayana is likely to bring some fresh inspiration to her music. With a passion for songwriting from a young age and over 2 million digital streams worldwide, she seems poised to make a significant impact in the country music scene. It's exciting to see her continuing to pursue her dreams and share her music with the world!

About Vicky
Vicki Brittle is a singer-songwriter with small-town grounding and a soul on fire—especially on stage. Sharing a soulful, raspy voice that pairs perfectly with her willingness to fully put herself and her journey into her songs, the Canadian singer/songwriter effortlessly brings newcomers into her world with the purpose of community, connection, and healing through lyrics and melody.
With her first official release in 2016, Vicki has since released five singles and four albums, amassing over 5 million online streams. A finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and a Faces Magazine Album of the Year nominee in 2019, Vicki has carved out a significant presence in the music world. Memorable gig moments include opening for Sass Jordan, performances at The Horseshoe Tavern, Bluesfest, Festival of Small Halls, Calgary Breadmakr, and intimate house concert communities.
Vicki is also part of the John Prine Tribute Band, The Maywoods, which has performed five fully sold-out shows to date. Her musical journey started young, with supportive parents and an undeniable connection to music. She began by singing national anthems at local hockey games, entering local singing competitions, and participating in school choir, all while taking Royal Conservatory music lessons.
