Join us for a very gay bookstore crawl across Seattle to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day 2025! We're visiting 5 bookstores for a 25% off coupon. Learn more here.
Here's the plan:
9:00 am - Meet at Ada's Technical Books & Cafe for coffee & book browsing (don't forget to pick up your passport!)
(walk to Elliott Bay Books, ~15 mins)
10:30 am - Elliott Bay Book Company: beloved bookstore in the heart of Cap Hill
(walk to Cap Hill Lightrail station, ride to Pioneer Square station, walk to Arundel Books)
12:00 pm - Arundel Books: used & new books in a historic building
(walk to Open Books, ~5 mins)
1:00 pm - Open Books: A Poem Emporium
(walk to Westlake Center, ~20 mins)
2:00 - 3:30 pm - Group lunch at Westlake Food Court/Asean Streat Food Hall
(catch the 40 bus to Fremont, ~30 mins)
4:00 pm - Charlie's Queer Books: Queer books & gag gifts!
5:00-ish pm - End book crawl! Possible post-event group dinner or other shenanigans
*Notes*
- We will be walking and taking public transit from bookstore to bookstore.
- You're welcome to join us for all or part of the day–choose your own adventure!
- This is a group adventure, but club members are responsible as individuals for keeping track of the schedule, for their own transportation between bookstores, and ultimately for their own experience on this trip. Have fun! Buy lots of books!
