Meet us at the bookstore for a lineup of crafts and bookish deals for Independent Bookstore Day 2025!
Under the Umbrella, your local queer bookstore, presents Indie Bookstore Day with a little flair. Come hang, bring your friends, and support local!
All April:
- UTU's Bookstore BINGO
Pick up a free BINGO card and fill it up throughout April leading up to Indie Bookstore Day. Come to UTU on April 26 to redeem for prizes!
All day Saturday:
- BOGO at Umbrella Cafe
Bring a friend and get BOGO half off drinks. (Buy one, get your second half off!)
- Bookmark Workshop
FalkenCraft will be on hand from 1- 5 p.m. with materials to customize booksmarks for you or a friend! Make as many bookmarks as you want, $5 each.
- Tie Dye Totes
Buy a UTU exclusive tote and tie-dye it for free with all supplies provided on our patio!
- Golden ticket giveaway
The search for the LibroFM begins when UTU opens and ends when someone finds the golden ticket! The ticket winner (1) gets a free year of audiobooks from LibroFM.
- Gift Card Swap
Spend $$ at UTU, and get a giftcard to our fellow Indie Bookstore, The Legendarium and vice versa. Bookstore besties means you get more reasons to visit local indies!

Grab a map of Utah's indie bookstores from Bookish and visit them ALL in one year for prizes!
About Indie Bookstore Day
Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. It is a day to celebrate and support independent bookstores across the U.S. Bookstore hop or spend all day at your favorite Indie to show your support of these essential spaces!
