Flying the flag for Cornwall's Indie bands, The Velvet Hands return to Old Bakery Studios after a year away. Expect high energy, tune driven, guitar mayhem!The band have toured with Trampoline, been asked to support Elbow by Michael Eavis for his Pilton Party, supported Liam Gallagher, Frank Turner, Wallows, The Bluetones and for November 2024, they have been invited by Hard Fi to support them at their sold out Roundhouse gig. 2024 saw them sell out the super cool Omeara venue in London leading to them being booked as headliners at the 550 capacity iconic Dingwall's in Camden London.
Their debut album "Party's Over" was a Radio 1 Album of The Week, they've been heavily featured on BBC Introducing both in the South West and nationally. John Kennedy of Indie/Alt station Radio X has said ". “Every track they've released has been a hit as far as i'm concerned”
Independent Venue Week in 2022 saw the band interviewed live by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music while supporting Frank Turner.
The band "can't wait for our homecoming show, its always a big one in Truro!".
The Velvet Hands started out in the music department at Truro College and so are pleased to be able to ask Truro College young upstarts Sneaky Feeling to be main support on the night.
Tickets are £10 with a discounted ticket at £8 for students and under 18's. Proof of age will be required on entry. The venue is licenced to 16+ though under 16's may attend with a repsonsible adult.
