About this Event

Dear Artists and Creatives of Baltimore,

The Independent Artists Coalition of Baltimore is excited to invite you to an evening of inspiration, dialogue, and relationship-building. As we embark on a journey towards fostering healthier and more equitable relationships between artists and institutions, your voice is essential. Our goal is to kickstart meaningful conversations that will pave the way for collaborative efforts with institutional allies, focusing on artist pay equity across Baltimore. You can attend this hybrid event in person at 1634 Guilford Ave or online. (Please specify which in your RSVP)

**What to Expect**:

- **Generative Storytelling Circles Where Every Voice Matters**: Dive deep into shared experiences and stories. This dialogue is different from your typical meeting; we encourage every participant to speak, be heard, and actively contribute to the decision-making process. This unique format will enable us to explore and envision what healthier and more equitable artist-institutional relationships can look like.

- **A Community of Peers**: Whether you’ve navigated contracts or are navigating your path within the art community, your experiences and insights are invaluable. This thoughtfully curated conversation will set the stage for the coalition’s collaborative efforts with institutional allies, focusing on artist pay equity in Baltimore, Maryland.

- **Dinner & Childcare**: Join us early at 6:15 pm for our welcome reception to mingle and settle in before the main event begins. We will provide dinner and childcare to ensure a comfortable and inclusive environment for all our attendees. Relax and engage in the conversations, knowing your little ones are in good hands.

This is more than an event; it starts a movement towards change. We believe that together, we can build a future where artists are valued and supported, reflecting the true worth of their contributions to society.

**Capacity is Limited to Ensure an Intimate and Productive Environment**: So we encourage you to RSVP on Eventbrite or with the event’s curator, Simone Sydnor, at [email protected] as soon as possible. Your presence would make all the difference. (Let us know if you will attend in person or online in RSVP.)
