The City of Fairfield will host the 2024 Independence Day Parade in Downtown Fairfield on Thursday, July 4. The theme for this year’s parade is – “An American Journey”.The Parade will step-off at 10 a.m. from the corner of Webster and Kentucky Street, continue down Kentucky Street to Great Jones, then turn up Texas Street to Washington. The review stand is located at the intersection of Texas Street and Madison Avenue on the south side of the street.

ADA parking is available at the Downtown Theatre parking lot - as space allows.
Individuals and groups interested in participating in the parade will find an entry form on our webpage. Categories for judging include band, commercial, equestrian, float, military, novelty, vehicle, and walking. Winners from each category will receive a $150 prize. Sweepstakes and Best Use of Theme will receive a $250 prize. Entries are due by June 13 at 5:00 p.m. Entries will be accepted until June 20 at 5:00 p.m. with a $25 late fee.
Approximately 40 volunteers are needed to help with participant check-in, staging, and pacing. You can sign up to volunteer on our webpage. Volunteers may use this opportunity to complete community service hours.
