The conference 'Inclusive Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine'' will be held on June the 10th in Berlin. The representatives of Ukrainian civil society will present some preliminary recommendations for the audience's comments and discussion.Twelve representatives from civil society inside Ukraine will travel to Berlin for the conference and give first hand accounts of the situation and their vision for the recovery and reconstruction process ahead. The focus is on the social dimensions of recovery and reconstruction, addressing issues such as social cohesion, governance, reintegration, human security, human rights, and gender equality in an integrated and inclusive manner.
The initiating organizations: East Europe Foundation (EEF), Ukrainian Community of Dialogue Practitioners (UCoDP) and the Rule of Law network of organisations: Sociological Agency Fama (Fama), the Center for Security Studies (CENSS), Ukrainian Association of Women Judges (UAWJ), and Civic Association Centre for Legal Civil Initiatives (LCI Centre), are arranging the IRRC conference. This event is organised with the support of the Swedish governmental organization Folke Bernadotte Academy.
This is a follow up conference to the first Conference held in Kyiv on the 11th April, where a whole host of civil society stakeholders from across Ukraine were consulted, alongside government officials and members of the international community. This second conference seeks to reach out to and get input from Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their country due to the full-scale invasion.
This is in line with the core ethos of the IRRC, which is centered on working towards the same goals and ensuring cooperation between civil society, government and international partners, in an inclusive manner. The results of these extensive consultations will be presented as a set of Priorities at the URC24.
